Record Retention helps US businesses plan how long to keep their records. We refer companies whose records may qualify to an AI data buyer through a referral link.
The buyer pays us a referral fee only after a company we refer has its data transferred and approved.
We have a financial interest in companies whose data is transferred and approved. This referral link is the only commercial relationship the site has. We have no affiliate partners yet.
Where the referral block appears
A short block that leads to the records check appears on pages about records a company may be able to license, such as the home page, the business records guide, and the policy and destruction guides. The tax, payroll, personnel, I-9 and OSHA pages carry none, because those records are not on our may-be-licensable list.
These blocks name no buyer. The records check states the arrangement beside its Apply button, and this page explains it in full.
Approval and payment are separate from a click
A visit, a result from the records check or an application does not mean a company has been approved. We earn the fee after the data is transferred and approved. We do not earn it because someone clicks a button, registers or signs an agreement.
Only the buyer can quote terms for a company. We do not guarantee acceptance, a price or a payment date.
We earn a fee only if the company registers through our link. A company that registered earlier, on its own or through someone else’s link, does not earn us one.
Your decision
Use the guides to build a retention schedule whether or not you look at licensing. Licensing will not fit every company, and the records check says so when the answers fall outside our referral rule. We do not submit applications for a company. If you decide to apply, the button in the records check result takes you to the buyer’s site, and the person who can sign for the company should review the terms first.
